I'm excited to announce the proper relaunch of my newsletter with a much clearer content strategy! While my Instagram page will continue to be a great source of content, the newsletter and website will take it up a few notches.
It is currently in the pre-launch phase, with the planned launched date slated for September 22nd, 2025.
Here what the content strategy is going to look like:
On Instagram:
"Sold last week" posts will now feature 5 cars instead of 10, with a call-to-action (CTA) prompting users to subscribe to view the full list.
Market recaps will also showcase the last 5 sales, including a CTA to subscribe for the complete list and my analysis.
"Estimate vs. sold price" posts will contain up to 10 cars, while the website will contain all cars sold (that fit the CMI standard) and an expanded analysis of the auction event and cars featured.
On the Website:
Free tier includes:
The full lists of cars sold the previous week;
Market recaps;
Weekly auction picks (exclusive to subscribers);
My personal blog (sharing thoughts on the market, specific cars, or experiences such as Monterey Car Week); and
Free guides.
Paid tier offers (launch TBD):
Comprehensive deep-dive market reports;
Acquisition analyses of cars headed to auction;
In-depth investment analyses;
Additional features to be unveiled later!
The paid tier will also cultivate a tight community atmosphere to discuss market trends and opportunities with one another. Stay tuned!
Rebrand
As you might have noticed, I have completely rebranding Car Market Insider. Gone is the beautiful, but truly overdone British Racing Green and replaced with a color similar to Continental Orange to truly stand out and represent the new direction of the company. More on that in the longer version.
Year 1 Recap
Exactly one year ago today (August 5th, 2024), I posted my very first video. Initially started in 2020, after years of inconsistent posting, I decided to give this little dormant Instagram page of 900 followers one final shot.
I completely missed out on the Reels boom, hated the idea of putting myself on camera or even doing voice overs, but above all, I was tired of remaining on the sidelines of an industry I've been obsessed with my whole life.
I put all my fears and anxieties aside and just decided to go for it and figure it out as I went.
After a bunch of pivots and format experiments, by January 2025, I reached 6,000 followers. My goal was to reach 10,000 followers by year 2 so I was ecstatic!
Then in March 2025, I decided to relaunch my “sold last week” posts and also experiment with a series highlighting cars sold at in-person auctions, comparing their estimated vs. sold prices. By my great surprise, they did very well and were consistently getting great engagement.
Now, at almost 21,000 followers exactly one year later, it’s time for me to get back into videos, launch a proper business, and start making money!
I am eternally grateful for all the support I've received, the amazing community that's being built, and the connections I've made!
